FOR TODAY
Outside my window... SNOW...with more snow in the forecast

I am thinking... when is school going to start back

I am thankful for... netflix for the endless movies and shows to entertain while couped up inside

From the kitchen...Taco Chicken

I am wearing...black pants and a t-shirt

I am creating...a blog :) and trying to find some valentine ideas

I am going...to pick up the painting mess my kiddos have made while painting. They had fun though thats all that matters

I am reading...Vampire Diaries books 7 and 8. I know not everyone likes those kind of books and shows, but I do.

I am hoping...if school is out tomorrow I will find a craft to keep the kids from getting bored

I am hearing...the cartoon C is watching

Around the house...actually it is really clean because I was in a cleaning mood yesterday and cleaned all day :)

One of my favorite things... The Real Housewives tv show... it has been keeping me entertained

A few plans for the rest of the week: Grocery shopping (if the stores ever get stocked from this blizzard we had), and a few craft projects I've been wanting to work on.

Here is picture for thought I am sharing...
Oh Target how I have missed you!

In need of ideas for a Heart Day gift

I am trying to come up with something crafty, but not to girly for a V-day gift for the Hubs...we have decided to make each other something. We've never done this so I am trying to find ideas.

Snow Ice Cream

The traditional snow ice cream...
Recipe below (we didn't have sweetened condensed milk so you have to just work with what you have in the pantry)

Snow Ice Cream

  • 1 gallon snow

  • 1 cup white sugar

  • 1 tablespoon vanilla extract

  • 2 cups milk

  • Directions

    1. When it starts to snow, place a large, clean bowl outside to collect the flakes. When full, stir in sugar and vanilla to taste, then stir in just enough milk for the desired consistency. Serve at once.

    Snow Angels...January 10, 2011

Making Snow Angels...it's a must when there is snow on the ground!

Getting ready for a baby shower...

TaterTot was so excited to get to go to Katie's baby shower! It was her first shower to attend. She had to pose for a picture before we left.

    Dogs & their bones...

Jumbo devours bones so fast it's crazy! Here are some pics from a lazy morning with the dogs in our life...

Yes my youngest two like to wear their daddy's t-shirts to sleep in. Penny never chewed on bones until Jumbo moved in. Now they just lay around and chew on bones all day...a dog's life.

    Girls and their feather boas....

    Little miss Tatertot
    My littlest sister Brook

    My younger sister Brittani

And of course the boys had to put on a scarf and act silly too!

They were in their pjs and their Aunt Brook started playing dress-up with TaterTot and the boys started putting on the scarfs and acting silly...it was too funny!

This is what we do on snow days...

We played Toy Story Monopoly Junior several times while at Grandma & Grandpa's house during the blizzard. We had a blast! Of course I lost everytime :)

    Banana Bread

My friend gave me a recipe for banana bread and we had some bananas to use so I decided to try it out. It was yummy! Here is the recipe (I left out the nuts)
     Banana Bread
    1/2 cup butter
    1 cup sugar
    2 eggs, well beaten
1 cup bananas, mashed (2 or 3 bananas)
    2 cups flour
    1 tsp baking soda
    1/2 tsp salt
    1/2 cup chopped nuts
Cream butter until soft; gradually add sugar creaming well. Add eggs and bananas; mix well. Sift flour with soda and salt; stir into creamed mixture. Stir in nuts. Pour into well greased 10 x 5 x 3 inch loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour. Place pan on rack to cool; cool 10 minutes. Remove from pan. can be frozen to eat later.

    SNOW!!!

Tons of snow everywhere! Here are a few pictures from the blizzard...
If you look closely you can see the snow falling

The Hubs and the father-in-law trying to get the van up the driveway

Jumbo loves the snow..he hopped all through it

Our entry way after the Hubs shoveled it

The Hubs birthday was Feb 1st, it was the first time a blizzard in Oklahoma happened on his bday. Here is a pic of him shoveling our driveway so we could get our car parked
